Do you agree that the internet is a really wonderful technology? This tool has enabled people and organizations to move forward, to progress. But then, it also has a darker side and can be dangerous, especially for children. Risks exist on the Internet for adults and these risks are even higher for children, hence if you're a parent, you might have asked the question: How can I protect my children online? So, how can we ensure the protection of our children on the Internet? There are several ways to do this. The following are five solid ways on how to protect your children online.
Parental control softwares are often used to protect children online
Since 2006, ISP provider companies has made parental control software available to customers. Hence, you can easily access this type of protection if you research it online. Note however that the software provided by your ISP may not be compatible with your operating system. In this case, you may turn to a competitor software or an appropriate extension for your browser (eg ProCon Latte Content Filter for Firefox soon be compatible with version 4 of this browser). Parental control softwares may not be perfect, but they can really improve the safety of children online.
Communicate with your children and guide them so they can be informed and aware

Google Docs Mobile Now In 45 Languages
The edition of Google Docs Mobile was available since November 2010 . Thus, access to the full version of Google Docs via your iPad was made possible. This was a really good thing for those who want to work on a document while traveling, without having to bring along their laptops.
Google has now expanded the possibilities for Google Docs Mobile, adding some very nice features. On the one hand the editing function on mobile is extended to 45 languages and on the other, it is now available on iOS 3.0 and above, (iPhone, iPad) and Android from Froyo version 2.2. Spreadsheets are now also printable via Google Cloud Print, with more supported formats such as, Folio, A3, A5, B4, or B5. If one adds to this range the availability of Google Cloud Connect (which I use almost daily now, or at least for each Word document on which I work), we now have a real working environment in the cloud irrespective of the terminal with which it is accessed. Certainly good news for geeks like me! :-)
